FAQ
Organizational memory is the collective context, decisions, history, and learned experience an organization retains over time, independent of individual employees.
Most organizations re-learn the same lessons every two years because their knowledge is trapped in individual heads, scattered documents, and chat history. Organizational memory is the deliberate practice of capturing and making retrievable the context that allows an organization to compound rather than reset. Mature organizational memory ties context to entities (projects, customers, decisions) rather than just chronology, and makes that context retrievable at the moment of writing.
