Editorial Mission
Our editorial mission is to produce the most useful, accurate, and rigorously argued reference on professional communication available anywhere. We are not a content marketing operation; we are a publishing operation that exists to serve people whose work depends on writing well. Every editorial decision is evaluated against that mission, not against engagement metrics.
Sources of Expertise
Our editorial content is produced by communication practitioners with documented operating experience. Contributors include former executives, in-house communication leaders, professional editors, researchers, and educators. Where a contributor's primary expertise is in a related field (e.g. organizational design, change management, regulatory compliance), that scope is explicitly noted on the relevant content.
Editorial Workflow
Every long-form article passes through four stages: subject-matter drafting, structural editing, copyediting, and editorial review. Glossary entries are reviewed by at least one practitioner whose work centers on the term in question. Templates are tested against real-world scenarios before publication. Research summaries are reviewed against the original source material. AI assistance may be used in drafting and copyediting; the editor of record is always human and accountable for the final published version.
Accuracy and Corrections
We aim for accuracy in every published claim. Errors are corrected publicly, with the correction noted on the page and the original version available on request. Material corrections — those that change the meaning of guidance — are surfaced at the top of the page for at least 30 days. We log every correction with date, scope, and reviewer.
Conflicts of Interest
When an article references a third-party product, service, or methodology, we disclose any commercial relationship in the article itself. Contributors disclose financial or advisory relationships that could create the appearance of bias; where a conflict cannot be resolved, the contributor does not write on that topic.
Sponsorship and Independence
Editorial content is not for sale. We do not accept sponsored articles, paid placements, or commercial influence over what we publish or how we frame it. Advertising, where present, is clearly labeled and never integrated into editorial content.
Reader Feedback
We treat reader corrections, disagreements, and follow-up questions as part of the editorial process. Substantive feedback is reviewed by an editor; where warranted, the published content is revised. Reach us at editorial@writingtoolspro.com.
